Im not saying RROD is in any way, shape or form acceptable. But you guys do realize that if the 360 had launched side by side with the ps3, it would have gotten absolutely demolished. I know if they came out at the same time a year back, i would have definately bought a ps3.

Microsoft had to release the 360 before the ps3 because if they did not, we would not even be talking about the 360 right now in the same sense. Lets say that microsoft did wait, and release the 360 alongside the ps3 with the "HD-DVD drive" with identical price.(which is what I am assuming they would do, release it with hddvd, hdmi, and higher price) and no RROD. Theres 30 million xbox owners and 120 million ps2 owners, thats already 4 times as many "potential buyers." So ...
Although I think home is a terriffic idea, alot of PSN users will stop using it after a while for many reasons. Unless there is incentive for them to use home it probably is much easier, and faster to just use the PSN store for all your downloading needs, and the XMB to message your friends. The feature that I am looking forward to the most is being able to watch the movies with your friends, but i wonder if everyone has to pay for it, or just some people, other then that i think it will beco...

I dont really care which game console wins since I have 360, and will soon get PS3 after school is done. But I just find it sad with the excellent lineup that the 360 had this year, how it could not sell more consoles. I sincerely hope that the 360 keeps selling because I do not want it to go the way of the dreamcast, or have a new 360 coming out in 2 years. I realized i own all these games and the only ones that i passed are gears of halo :( Though i am halfway done portal and half life 2 episode one, and I have not even opened bioshock or COD4 and I have had them for 2 months. it was a overrated and a lot of people were dissapointed. Thats the thing, people can write down a bunch of lists of future games and such but you guys do realize some of them will not live up to the lofty expectations. People are writing nonsense such as "biggest game of this era" and stuff like that makes no sense. Just a word to the wise, keep your expectations low and you wont end up being dissapointed
